Parasaurolophus walkeri Skull Fossil Replica: Museum Quality
Parasaurolophus (meaning "near crested lizard" in reference to Saurolophus) is a genus of hadrosaurid "duck-billed" dinosaur that lived in what is now western North America and possibly Asia during the Late Cretaceous period, about 76.5–73 million years ago. It was a large plant eater that could reach over 9 metres (30 ft) long and weigh over 5 metric tons (5.5 short tons), and were able to move on four and two legs. Three species are recognized today: P. walkeri (the type species), P. tubicen, and the short-crested P. cyrtocristatus. Additionally, a fourth species, P. jiayinensis, has been proposed, although it is more commonly placed in the separate genus Charonosaurus. Remains are known from Alberta, New Mexico, and Utah, as well as possibly Heilongjiang if Charonosaurus is in fact part of the genus. The genus was first described in 1922 by William Parks from a skull and partial skeleton found in Alberta.
You will get a highly detailed, 50cm or 20 inches long Parasaurolophus Skull fossil replica sculpture made of from scientific pictures and 3d scan data of real fossils from international museums and collections. Especially the incomplete Parasaurolophus walkeri type specimen in the Royal Ontario Museum.
My replica is most accurate, highly detailed and has the correct teeth style.
The model you will get is like the one in the photos, but can be a little different in the details, because every skull is made for you by order. It’s a unique art sculpture with date and signed under the base. Customizations are possible without higher price (depending of course on the art of customization - gilding for example would cost much more 😋).
It has a wooden base and I used 10mm brass tubes and fittings that are made for me by a small german manufacturer who produces this kind of stuff for more then 100 years now.
The base is made from FSC certified German beech wood with coats of oil, colored varnish and real violin chellac polish and messing brass rounds. On the underside are felt pad’s.
I use real theater and movie techniques for wheatering the models for looking like an old specimen.
It is made with mixed media and only the highest quality art paints and materials are used for it.
It’s made by me in my little studio in the south of Germany.

Der Holzsockel ist mit echter Geigen-Shellack Politur und Messing Stäben oder Rohren hergestellt. Der Fuß und die gesamte Skulptur wird mit Techniken aus Film und Theater speziell gealtert, um wie echt alt auszusehen.
Auf der Unterseite befinden sich Filzgleiter.
Das Dinosaurier Modell, das Sie erhalten, ist wie das auf den Fotos, kann aber in einigen Details etwas abweichen, da von Hand hergestellt und bemalt.
Sie erhalten ein einzigartiges Kunstwerk mit Datum und Signatur unter dem Sockel versehen.
Die sculpture besteht aus Mischtechnik, Epoxid-Ton und Polyurethanharz.
Ich verwende dafür nur die hochwertigsten Künstlermaterialien und Farben.
